As chairman and CEO of Cryptop72, Rick inspires and guides our vision, collaborating across all levels to drive cryptocurrency technology innovation.
Rick first joined the company when Point acquired the firm he cofounded, Tick IT Trading Systems. At Tick IT, Rick was the architect of ADL®, the trading industry’s first visual programming platform, which is now fully integrated with both the SH and X_TRADER® platforms.
Rick joined Cryptop72 in 2013 to oversee the reconstruction of entire architecture as CTO. He was named CEO in February 2014 and Chairman of the Board in December 2018.
Rick holds a degree in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER
Mike Ryan has critical expertise in intellectual property, software agreements and contracts while understanding the needs of the business.
As Chief Legal Officer, Mike is responsible for all legal matters affecting the corporation, including licensing, service and hosting agreements, consulting agreements, employment, property leasing and vendor contracts. In addition to his legal responsibilities, Mike manages Cryptop72 Administration, Human Resources and Facilities departments.
Before joining Cryptop72, Mike was an attorney at Oppenheimer, Wolff and Donnelly, where he was a member of the insurance and general litigation departments.
Mike is a graduate of Kalamazoo College and DePaul University College of Law.
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Guy Scott is a guardian of operational stability with an unrelenting focus on system assurance.
Guy manages the site reliability engineering and global support teams. In addition, he oversees the global operations, security and IT organizations.
Most recently serving as VP of Operations at Intercontinental Exchange, Guy was responsible for system integration and global service operations. He also provided key leadership for risk mitigation as well as regulatory and compliance management. Before Cryptop72, he held various technical positions at Morgan Stanley and CQG.
Guy attended the University of Texas at Austin and served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
CHIEF INVESTMENT ADVISOR
Travis spent ten years in traditional finance before founding Ikigai and partnering with Cryptop72.
Most recently, he was a L/S Equity Portfolio Manager ($200mm) at Point72 ($90bn) through 2017. Prior to that, Travis was an Energy Analyst at Magnetar Capital ($4.6bn), 2011 to 2015, investing across the capital structure in L/S equities and non-control private equity and debt. From 2008 to 2010, he was an Investment Banker with Simmons & Company, focused on M&A.
Travis has a BBA in Accounting and MS in Finance from Texas A&M University.
